Platforms:
Platforms
represent intellectual hubs with the goal of initiating and facilitating
collaborative interactions between faculty with diverse backgrounds.
Platforms include state-of-the-art equipment for high fidelity assessment
of function in genetically engineered mice. Platforms vary from user
friendly, high-thru put analysis (e.g., EKG assessment in CV platform)
to more precise and time intensive instrumentation and analysis (e.g.
In vivo hemodynamics). Training and assistance are available for various
platform components. There will be modest re-charges for facility use,
training and assistance. The ultimate goal is that investigator-initiated
interactions within the Center will spawn new grant applications, including
R01s, Center, and Program project grants. It is anticipated that these
grants will specify personnel and equipment to maintain and expand the
Center.

Non-invasive electrocardiogram $35.00/hr
Non-invasive blood pressure measurement $32.00/hr

Blood pressure and electrocardiogram implants administered

Neuromuscular:
Rota-rod $32.00/hr
Behavior:
Surveillance camera $25.00/day
Balance beam, grip strength test, sensitivity test, and gait assessment
tools $25.00/hr
Activity monitoring system $11.50/hr

Exercise:
Treadmill $32.00/hr
Running wheels $0.25/cage/day above regular per diem rate
NOTE: Cages with running wheels can be housed in 7614 MS II or
moved into most SPF animal housing areas
Metabolism:

Urine and Feces Collection:
$8.50/cage/day (6 cages available)
Imaging:
