Edward Saunders, MS

Edward Saunders, MS, is Deputy Director of the University of Michigan Center for Health Communications Research (CHCR), a position he had held since 1997. Mr. Saunders is the former Director of the University of Michigan Office of Instructional Technology, a nationally recognized leader in the development and integration of interactive multimedia learning and teaching applications in higher education. Beginning his video career in 1974, he has produced over 300 educational video productions including several interactive video programs as well as web video and DVDs for patients and practitioners. His development teams have won numerous national awards, including two NewMedia Invision awards, three Computerworld/Smithsonian Laureates medals, and two FREDDIE awards for excellence in medical media. In collaboration with Dr. An, Mr. Saunders is directing all development activities, technical implementation activities, and quality assurance on the online clinical decision making and research dissemination tools used in CanSORT.
