ComfortApp Fundraising Initiative
September, 2011 - September, 2013

We are pleased to announce this group received the 2013 Distinguished Service Award for an Organization by the UMHS Volunteer Recognition Committee!

The story of the ComfortApp Fundraising Initiative . . . The organization was founded as a result of personal experiences. Both from the side of the patient - bored without a distraction - and from a volunteer that talks to and tries to provide some enjoyment to patients. Two University of Michigan students recognized the need to provide patients with comfort technology and engaged two other students to join in this initiative to fund iPad's for distribution to patients while receiving their treatment. Walk for Tomorrow
Saturday, May 25, 2013

A 5k walk for cancer will take place at Robert Fleming Park, The Woodlands, Texas. Participants will enjoy a fun-filled day of music, food and festivities. Proceeds from the walk will support the Patient & Family Support Services Program.

Tom Lui Memorial Golf Classic

The seventh annual Tom Lui Golf Classic will take place at the GenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, NY. The day includes golf, food, and prizes with event proceeds supporting the Tom Liu Endowed Fund. Stomp Out Sarcoma
Sunday, July 14, 2013

Join others for the annual Stomp out Sarcoma 5k fun run/walk on Sunday, July 14th at Hudson Mills Metro Park (follow the event signs to the pavilion). Registration opens at 8:00 am and the walk will begin at 9:00 am. Event proceeds will support the Sarcoma Research program at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center. 11th Annual Jamie Katschor Golf Outing

The annual Jamie Katschor Scholarship Fund Golf Outing will be held at the University of Michigan Golf Course, shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. The golf outing will feature 18 holes of golf, hole in one contest, great food, prizes and a silent auction. Event proceeds will benefit Melanoma Research at the UMCCC and Michigan Autism Partnership. The Rose Run

The annual Rose Run will take place on Saturday, July 20th in downtown Petersburg MI. Join others as they participate in the 5k fun run honoring the memory of Rose Marie Hunt. Skin 13: A Melanoma Benefit

Union 4 Life, started by the Apprentices at the Ann Arbor Electrical JATC, will be hosting a golf outing at Lake Forest Golf Club of Ann Arbor. The day will include golf, breakfast, lunch and dinner, a silent auction and much more. Proceeds will support the Breast Cancer Research Program.
