Clinical Registry Research

Registry research has been a long standing asset for the medical community. However, with the ever increasing regulatory requirements to conduct clinical research, the process to establish these vital data repositories is becoming extremely difficult to navigate.

An Integrated Approach
At the Michigan Institute of Clinical and Health Research (MICHR), our dedicated and integrated staff can provided assistance at the various intervals, from inception to culmination, of your registry project.

Project Management
As an entry point for starting up a clinical registry project, the MICHR project management core can provide support for any regulatory processes before and during your study, and assist in project development.

Data Management
At the core of any registry study is data management. The MICHR data management core can assist investigators in the development of data management strategies, database design, database integrity and reporting , database security, and Case Report Form (CRF) development and design.

Clinical Informatics
The Clinical Research Informatics Core (CRIC) supports the MICHR Biomedical Informatics Program (BIP) mission to improve the quality and quantity of UM clinical research by providing cutting-edge clinical research informatics services. One of the goals of the MICHR Registry Program is to facilitate the integration of varying systems in order to create comprehensive databases.

Auxiliary Services
In addition to services the MICHR provides to aid in generating a successful clinical registry, we also are able to accommodate subsequent studies and assist you in the procurement of funding.

Research Project Development
Our Research Development Core can assist investigators in issues of study design, in finding expert collaborators in domains relevant to their project, and in providing scientific review of protocols prior to submission. In addition, they can assist in matching ideas with funding sources (funding finder service) and provide review and advice of rejected grant proposals prior to resubmission.

Pilot Grant Program
The goal of this program is to facilitate, encourage, and support clinical translational research in its many forms. Any research involving humans (including using tissue or samples from humans) is eligible to apply for these awards. For more information, please click here.
