Pediatrics

The MICHR CTSA provides infrastructure and tangible support to develop, help secure funding, and conduct high quality clinical and translational research projects that will positively affect patient care and outcomes.

The aims of the CTSA Pediatric Research Program (PRP) are to:

  • Develop and support multidisciplinary clinical and translational research teams in pediatric populations,
  • Contribute to the MICHR educational and mentoring mission of promoting clinical research,
  • Serve as a central point of contact for investigators who seek to conduct biological, clinical, epidemiologic, psychosocial, or health services research with translational potential that involves children, adolescents, and/or their families

Pediatric Clinical Research Program Committee (PCRC)

The PCRC serves as a consultative liaison committee with representatives from most divisions within the Department of Pediatrics and many representatives across the University who are interested and involved in research on children and adolescents. The committee provides active consultation and advice to faculty, fellows, and post docs on mentoring, educational and training opportunities, protocol and grant development, funding opportunities, and facilitation of multidisciplinary science in pediatric populations. The committee meets bi-monthly.
