How to Access MCRU
MCRU is designed to serve as an infrastructural resource for clinical research investigators. To use MCRU an investigator first needs to submit an application through the eResearch system (http://eresearch.umich.edu). There you will go through all the steps of performing clinical research including:
- IRB Med for human subjects protections
- Recruitment using Engage the web based recruitment resource and other approaches
- As well as help with clinical research billing to determine who is responsible for the costs of medical care associated with a research protocol
For more information about applying to use MCRU please contact Roberta Proft, MCRU Administrative Director.
BIC: Investigators with requests for imaging, analyses and protocols that are not routinely available at UMHS are encouraged to contact the Core Director, Dr. Kirk Frey, M.D. (kfrey@umich.edu) and use "BIC Application" in the message title) for discussion and possible referral to the appropriate BIC scientific personnel for protocol development and assistance. High Tech funding is available through the Pilot Grant Program.
