Research Support Units
Data Management
The Data Management Unit supports research at the University of Michigan. We provide expertise in all areas of data management, from study start to completion, meeting best practices and ensuring data integrity.
The Data Management unit works closely with each study team to help develop an efficient method of data collection and management for every project based on needs. We create study specific data collection instruments either as paper or electronic CRFs. Database development is done using web based applications. Throughout the life of the project, we can provide necessary services and expertise to help manage and report data and provide clean data sets as needed. The DM also unit works collaboratively with other MICHR units (Biostatistics and Measurement, Project Management, and Clinical Research Informatics) to provide researchers with the resources needed to effectively to conduct research.
