Parking/Transportation Updates Related to UMHS Building Projects

Construction Traffic Update

C.S. Mott Children's and Women's Replacement Hospital Facility

The following changes impacting vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow around the Children's and Women's Hospital construction site are in effect:

• East Medical Center Drive lane reductions: The north and west lanes of East Medical Center Drive from the EMCD parking structure around to East Hospital Drive are closed for the duration of construction. Traffic lanes have been shifted to accommodate one lane of traffic in each direction. In order to facilitate traffic exiting the parking structure, three-way stop signs were added on EMCD at the south exit/entrance of the structure.
  
  
• Big Bird lobby entrance closed: The pedestrian entrance to Holden/Women's Hospitals (commonly known as the Big Bird entrance) is closed. Expectant mothers arriving for baby deliveries are re-routed to the Mott service drive off of East Hospital Drive. See Mott Web site for more parking details.
