Eye complications

Because diabetes can damage the delicate structures of the eye, and lead to blindness, U-M doctors pay special attention to the eyes of their diabetes patients. Those who show early signs of damage, or who experience vision problems, can be referred to the Kellogg Eye Center , where U-M ophthalmologists offer the latest in care to slow the progression of diabetic eye disease and help patients cope with vision loss.

For more on eye problems related to diabetes, and U-M care for these programs, visit the Kellogg Eye Center website or call ( 734) 763-8122.
