The Biomedical Research Core Facilities were established at the University of Michigan in 1987. Dennis Martin became the first director of the BRCF in 1989.

2012 is off to an exciting start for the BRCF. I am very pleased to announce we have created a new position, Associate Director for the Biomedical Research Core Facilities. Beginning January 9, Anitha Chennat will be joining us from ULAM. 

 

Welcome Anitha Chennat to the BRCF!
I am delighted to share that Anitha Chennat will be joining the Biomedical Research Core Facilities as Associate Director, beginning January 9. Anitha joins the BRCF with more than 20 years of experience in university planning, budgeting, grant writing, and higher education.
 
Anitha will be working on many fronts to improve the customer service experience with the BRCF, including creating a new financial model to track activities and improving our IT infrastructure. In addition to streamlining administrative processes, Anitha will play a strategic role in the on-boarding of new cores as they are added to the BRCF.   
Save the Date: the BRCF Technology & Services Showcase is Feb. 7!
 
The BRCF Technology & Services Showcase will be held Tuesday, February 7 from 11:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. in Palmer Commons Great Lakes Room (4th Floor). FREE lunch will be served. Customers, staff and the U-M research community will be able to learn more about the technology and resources the BRCF and their vendors have to offer.
