What are your hours?
The Biomedical Research Store Sites are open Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm and 1:15 pm to 5:00 pm.
What form(s) of payment is accepted?
The Biomedical Research Store only accepts payment in the form of shortcodes. A shortcode is a six digit number that summarizes the chartfield information for your account as designated by the University. Please have your shortcode with you when you wish to make a purchase. If you are unsure of which shortcode to use, please contact your appropriate department personnel. We are not authorized to look up shortcodes.
How to obtain products:
Please visit a Store Site to purchase stocked products.
How does one place a special order? Can it be submitted via email/phone?
Over 50,000 products are included on our contracts, but are not stocked in our store. To special order these products, fill out all information on the site specific Special Order Form and submit to your desired location. At this time we only accept special orders in person or via fax. Please verify all information before submitting the Special Order Form. Also, please read all important information regarding special order policies as outlined on the form. Note: Special orders must be picked up at the location where the form was submitted.
How long does it take to receive a special order?
We place special orders Monday through Thursday at 10:00 am. If your special order form is received in the store by 10:00 am your special order product(s) should arrive the following day. We will notify you by phone or e-mail once the order has arrived.
Can you hold an item for me?
Due to space constraints, we are unable to reserve or hold stock items for our customers. If you would like items reserved in your name please submit a special order form to us and we will be happy to place the order.
Which vendors can I obtain products from?
We currently stock and special order products from all of the following companies: Agilent, Bio-Rad, Finnzymes, Life Technologies (Invitrogen/Applied Biosystems), Lonza, New England Biolabs, Pierce, Promega, Qiagen, Roche, and Sigma Aldrich.
I made a purchase in error. Can I return it to the store?
Due to the nature of these products, we do not accept returns or exchanges at any time unless they are defective. Please check catalog numbers and quantities carefully before signing your receipt. Your signature acknowledges that you have verified and accepted these products in their stated quantities. The return policy is outlined on all store receipts and special order forms.
I have a defective product. What should I do now?
If you purchased an item that is defective, have your receipt handy and contact the site from which you purchased the product, and we will assist with a resolution.
