Therapy Consultation/Coordination of Therapy
The program currently has two registered occupational therapists, who evaluate and treat the pediatric brachial plexus patients.
For those who live a long distance, the therapists make recommendations, sometimes coordinate and are also available for consultation to outside clinics who may not be familiar with this diagnosis.
Monthly Exercise Group
Since 2007, we have invited patients ages six to 18 to participate in a monthly group to exercise, socialize and work on fine motor skills. Our occupational therapists lead these group sessions.
We have also added a parent component which is lead by our case managers and nurse practioners. A variety of topics are discussed.
