Cost
The U-M Bioinformatics Core serves researchers on individual projects or isolated work. The current cost per
hour is being finalized by Financial Analysis, but will likely be around $119
per hour. Typical analysis for Next-Generation sequencing will take 10-20 hours
total time.
Projects and cost estimates will be discussed at the initial consultation (free). We will assist researchers in preparing bioinformatics support for grant applications. If the research project will use significant bioinformatics support, we will assist in writing that portion of research grants and then use a portion of the grant support to fund individuals who will work on that grant if/when funded.
