The Bioinformatics Core was created in 2008 with the goal to provide professional bioinformatics support to UMMS researchers. Our areas of expertise include systems biology applications, analytical methods, data access and integration.
Our mission is to provide high quality, custom bioinformatics support to researchers using our expertise in computational methods such as data mining and analysis, and algorithm development. We utilize knowledge extraction tools that are being developed by the National Center for Integrative Biomedical Informatics (NCIBI), as well as other high quality applications and tools developed in the bioinformatics community, and enable and promote the use of those tools by U-M researchers.
