Andrew Barnosky, DO, MPH, FACEP
Dr. Andrew Barnosky is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Chairman of the Adult Ethics Committee for the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers. Within the Emergency Department, he is the division director for occupational medicine and urgent-care services. He is a graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (Missouri), and holds a master's degree in public health and health policy from the Harvard School of Public Health. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. During the 2000-01 academic year, he was a Medical Education Scholar in the University of Michigan Medical School. He has previously taught gross anatomy and dissection in the University of Michigan Medical School and Dental School, and the University of Detroit College of Dentistry. As the chair of the Ethics Committee, Dr. Barnosky serves as the director of the bioethics consultation service for the Health System, and as the director of the Medical Center's monthly Bioethics Grand Rounds.
