The interface of anesthesiology and neuroscience is an exciting intellectual horizon.  The Division of Neuroanesthesiology has a number of clinical neuroscience research interests, including the cognitive neuroscience of general anesthesia, awareness during general anesthesia, neurologic outcomes, and anesthetic implications of spine disease.  We also hope to develop—in collaboration with our colleagues in neurosurgery and neurology—an active research program in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit.
