Research Interests:

* The interaction of the oral antiplatelet agent clopidogrel to the cholesterol lowering agent atorvastatin
* The pharmacogenomic mechanism of clopidogrel resistance
* Short-term and long-term outcome of perioperative triple therapy using aspirin, beta-blocker and statins in high risk patients undergoing major vascular surgery

Current Projects:

Enhancing the inhibitory platelet efficacy of clopidogrel using St. John's Wort.

Prospective study to determine the short and long-term benefit of perioperative triple therapy using aspirin, beta-blocker, and statins in high risk patients undergoing major vascular surgery.

Evaluation of platelet aggregation inhibition by clopidrogel when coagministered with simvastatin.
