Yasser El Kouatli, M.D.
Critical Care Faculty
Yasser Kouatli was an Anesthesiology critical care fellow. He is now Faculty. After obtaining a baccalaureate in mathematics and science of nature in France Yasser went to his home country, Tunisia, for a medical education at the University of Sousse. He completed his medical school and three years of clinical training focusing on medical, surgical and prehospital critical care. His thesis was accepted with honors and proposed to his university's presidential prize. A brief period of private practice followed in parallel with preparation for residency in the United States. Yasser completed an anesthesiology residency in 2006 at Wayne State University in Detroit. He has now finished the critical care fellowship at the University of Michigan. Yasser has been interested in research throughout his training and has participated in both clinical and basic science research.
