Course Director, Vildan Mullin, M.D., Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Director of the Multidisciplinary Pain Center, lectured on “Brachial Plexus Block and Indications, Patient Selection, Local Anesthetic Selection, and the Use of Neurostimulators.” He also spoke on “Brachial Plexus Supraclavicular and Axillary Approach.”
John McGillicuddy, M.D., University of Michigan Professor of Neurosurgery, spoke on the “Anatomy of the Brachial Plexus.” Jeffrey Rosenthal, D.O. and Pema Dorje, M.D., Assistant Professors of Anesthesiology, discussed “Intrascalene Approach and Cervical Plexus Block.” Following lunch a workshop was held with live models and a cadaver dissection display.
