Department Announcements

Liver Transplant Team

After fourteen years of directing the Liver Transplant Team, Douglas McLaren, MD will be stepping down to allow Marie Csete, MD, PhD to assume the responsibility. Dr. Tremper would like to thank Doug for his efforts over this near decade and a half of leadership and congratulate Marie on her new responsibility.

Dr. McLaren will be directing more of his administrative effort toward the Visiting Instructor Program. As we all know, he has unofficially managed the logistics of assisting Visiting Instructors as the join the department. Dr. Tremper will be formalizing this position as he assumes greater responsibility for this important role.

Dr. Csete’s goals for the Liver Transplant Team will be developing an academic base for the clinical program and increase the collaboration with other departments in an academic effort.
