This year’s Annual Robert B. Sweet, MD Memorial Conference was held at Weber's Inn in Ann Arbor on September 8 and 9, 2000. The theme for this year's conference was regional anesthesia.
The first speaker on September 8th was Stephen Rupp, MD, Chief of Anesthesiology at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. The audience of forty attending the Sweet Conference on Saturday consisted of physicians and nurses in varying aspects of the practice of anesthesiology.
Following the conference, several of the attendees proceeded to Michigan Stadium where No. 3-ranked University of Michigan football team put on a dominating performance, crushing the visiting Rice Owls 38-7 in front of 109,778 fans at Michigan Stadium.
