Obstetrical Anesthesiology Fellowship Details

Total number of positions available annually: One
Duration of available training: One year
Minimum requirements for admission into program:
Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology
Brief Description of Application Process:
Please send curriculum vitae, application (available on request), and three letters of recommendations to Collen Rauch.   Candidates will be scheduled for interviews.
Number of deliveries per year: 3,500
Total number of procedures performed with anesthesia annually: 3,300

Procedures Performed at the Primary Hospital:

  • Newborn resuscitation at delivery - Pediatricians primarily responsible and available 24hrs/day
  • Cesarean Delivery
  • Dilation & Curettage
  • Postpartum Tubal Ligation
  • Oocyte Retrieval - Done in Obstetric Clinic with IV sedation per OB
  • Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT)
  • Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer (ZIFT)
  • Periumbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS)
  • Ex utero Intrapartum Treatment (EXIT) Procedure
