Education in Anesthesiology

One of the most important missions of the Department is education. 2002 marked the 50th anniversary of the residency training program, making it one of the oldest programs in the country. The depth and breadth of training is exceptional; we provide resident education for future anesthesiologists, subspecialty training for fellows, clerkships and rotations for medical students and continuing medical education for practicing anesthetists. The core curriculum is supplemented by a number of workshops, lectures, "mock oral" examinations, the Visiting Professor Series and research symposia.
