Applying for Residency and Fellowship Positions

Overview

The Department provides training in Anesthesiology at the resident house officer level and fellowship level.  Beginning in July of 2006, we will offer only a Categorical (4-year) program that includes an internship and Residency. We will have several positions outside of the Categorical program at the PGY-2 level.

Our Categorical positions will be very competitive.  The Categorical positions offer the candidate the advantage of not having to find an internship outside of the University  of Michigan and only move from their home cities once.  Currently, we offer 24 Categorical positions through NRMP.  Please contact our Program Coordinator at (734) 936-9304 for information on the non-match positions.
