History of the Chair:

The Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology

Six persons have held the position of Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Medical School. Recently, the current Chair, Kevin Tremper, Ph.D., M.D., celebrated his tenth year leading the Department. The first Chairman was Robert Sweet who served for over 20 years.
