Information for Funeral Directors, Pre-Need Counselors,
and Related Parties:

The University of Michigan Anatomical Donations Program understands the need for traditional services such as viewing and visitation. Therefore, working together with us you can serve your families better by allowing them to perform body donation even with visitation at the funeral home.

There is no age limit for our donors, and people with cancer are commonly accepted. If a family requests organ/tissue/bone donation and/or an autopsy, anatomical donation is still very possible.

We encourage you to contact us at (734) 764-4359 so that we can complete an evaluation and quickly give your families acceptance into the University of Michigan Anatomical Donations Program to benefit education, research, and ultimately society.
