Clinical Care

Downtown

When patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or related memory problems agree to participate in research studies, it is important that they continue to receive comprehensive clinical care from their primary care physician. Though patients participating in research studies will receive periodic evaluations, depending on the specific research protocol, this does not substitute for regular clinical care.  There are several specialty clinics within the U-M Department of Neurology that offer a range of clinical services for patients and families concerned about memory problems or movement disorders.  The Cognitive Disorder Clinic offers a thorough assessment for patients with memory problems and provides ongoing care. The Movement Disorders Clinic provides evaluation and clinical care for patients who are experiencing movement disorders.
