About Us

The Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center is one of 32 Alzheimer's research centers in the U.S. funded by the National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institutes of Health. Established at the University of Michigan Health System in 1989, MADRC is devoted to research, clinical care, and providing current information on Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.
The MADRC:
- Conducts research on Alzheimer's disease and related disorders
- Enhances the clinical care of Alzheimer's patients and their families
- Provides information and education on Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.
- Participates in minority outreach and advocacy efforts.
