The MADRC supports increasing dementia awareness and funding for Alzheimer’s disease research and support programs. We need your help. Please consider sharing your story with Congress to express the importance of funding Alzheimer’s research and dementia-specific services.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2008 the MADRC will be joining Alzheimer's
Association staff in Lansing to help advocate for better Alzheimer's
care for Michigan families. Please join this effort. If you are

Big Hearts for Seniors
The MADRC will be a Platinum Sponsor for the Big House/Big Heart Race on September 21, 2008. Donations will support the University of Michigan Health System Older Adult Programs, including Housing Bureau for Seniors, Motor Meals of Ann Arbor, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UM, Silver Club Programs, and Turner Senior Resource Center. Memory Walk
Memory Walk 2007The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Held annually in hundreds of communities across the country, this inspiring event calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. Michigan Dementia Coalition
The MADRC is a member organization of the Michigan Dementia Coalition. Judith L. Heidebrink, M.D., M.S. serves as the co-chair for the Michigan Dementia Plan Committee. Since 2002, the Michigan Dementia Coalition has developed and carried out a strategic plan to improve the quality of life of persons with dementia and their families. The coalition is currently working on updating the priorities for the Michigan Dementia Plan.
