Words from our leaders

Doug Strong

'I am deeply committed to investing in the development of our workforce, and the UMHS administrative fellowship program provides an excellent opportunity for us to mentor and develop future healthcare leaders. As the healthcare environment becomes increasingly complex and competitive, I believe the fellowship program exposes our fellows to the issues and decisions senior leaders and the institution as a whole is facing. Senior leaders throughout the health system are very responsive to working with our administrative fellows, and we believe the program is very beneficial to both the institution as well as to our administrative fellows.'

Doug Strong - director and CEO, University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers

James Woolliscroft, MD

'The opportunity to work with and observe leaders in a major academic health center is expected in a fellowship. The University of Michigan provides the unique opportunity to work both in the hospital and the medical school. This perspective on the entirety of the academic health center provides a unique understanding and opportunities for the fellows who participate in our program.'

James O. Woolliscroft, M.D. - dean, University of Michigan Medical School
