The University of Michigan Health System has been a national leader in population management for years. As one of the first health systems to engage with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on population management through the Physician Group Practice demonstration, UMHS was able to save Medicare millions of dollars while maintaining a high quality of care for patients.

Given our history, UMHS is in a unique position to experiment with novel programs and initiatives to ultimately achieve the Triple Aim: better health for a population, an excellent experience of care, and overall lower costs.
