Neurology Clinical Services

Patient care through the Department of Neurology at the University of Michigan provides quality care for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, seizures, dizziness, multiple sclerosis, stroke, headaches, sleep disorders and epilepsy among many other disorders of the nervous system.

We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient neurology services:

Balance Disorders Program
Providing evaluation and treatment for patients with: ataxia, gait disorders, multiple system atrophy, Parkinson’s disease, supranuclear palsy.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) Clinic
The Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) Clinic at the University of Michigan is a new adult and pediatric multidisciplinary clinic to treat patients with inherited neuropathy.

Cognitive Disorders Program
Providing diagnosis and treatment for patients with neurological disorders affecting memory and thinking.

Comprehensive Epilepsy Program
Providing evaluation and treatment for patients with partial and generalized seizure disorders.

The Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) Clinic
The Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic that sees children and adults with a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of Duchenne or Becker muscular dystrophy.

Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM) Service
Our mission is to provide an exceptional health care service to medical practitioners through professionalism, competence and responsiveness, resulting in superior patient outcomes.  

Muscular Dystophy Association (MDA) Clinic
The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Clinic at the University of Michigan is a multidisciplinary clinic that sees children and adults. 

Movement Disorders Program
Providing evaluaiton and treatment for patients with: Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Tourette’s syndrome, tremors.

Multiple Sclerosis Center
Providing comprehensive evaluation and care for patients with multiple sclerosis and related immune diseases of the nervous system..

Neurogenetics Disorders
Providing diagnosis and treatment for patients with: Fabray disease, Gaucher disease, inherited and degenerative neurologic disorders, lateral sclerosis, neurofibramytosis, Niemann-Pick diseases, spastic paraplegia.

Neuromuscular Program
Providing diagnosis and treatment for patients with disease of peripheral nerve, neuromuscular junction or muscle including: amyotrophic lateral sclerosis , muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, and neuropathy.

Neuro-oncology
Providing diagnostic evaluation and treatment for patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors.

Neuro-Ophthalmology
Providing treatment for patients with disorders of the optic nerve and its connections to the brain, along with evaluation of double vision, unequal pupils and visual disturbances from brain disorders.

Headache and Neuropathic Pain
Providing treatment for patient with headache, facial pain, and pain in the limbs or nerve origin.

NeuroSport Program
Providing comprehenisve evaluation and treatment for neurologic problems or brain/neurological injuries in competitive athletes.

Sleep Disorders Program
Providing evaluation and treatment for patients with disorders related to sleep including: excessive daytime sleepiness, insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome.

Stroke Program
Providing evaluation and treatment for patients suffering from, or at risk of, stroke.

VA
Providing comprehensive general neurology care and subspecialty neurology consultations to veterans served by the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System.
