Photo Gallery: 2004 Carr's Wash for Kids comes up roses
It wasn't football season yet, but the University of Michigan Football team, lead by Coach Lloyd Carr, already had one big win on the record at U-M - for its children's hospital.
On June 12, 2004 the players from the Wolverines' 2004 squad and its coaches spent the day signing autographs and, most importantly, washing cars at Michigan Stadium for the "Carr's Wash for Kids" community event. Sponsored by Michigan International Speedway, this event was a beneit for the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital campaign to build a new hospital. In all, Coach Carr and his team washed 509 cars, including the MIS pace car, and raised more than $75,000 for the Mott campaign.
