Liu and Merajver Labs publish in Journal of Cell Science
In collaboration with Dr. Allen Liu's lab at Michigan Engineering, Dr. Joel Yates and the Merajver Lab have published a paper in the Journal of Cell Science highlighting PTEN-related signaling through clathrin-coated pits. The research was aslo featured in a press release by the Michigan Health Lab.
September 2017 - Dr. Koh Meng Aw Yong's recent paper in Scientific Reports was featured in a press release. This research performed in a collaboration with the UM engineering school to study the aggressive breast cancer cells with microfluidic devices. Dr. Aw Yong stated, “a lot of tumor processes like invasion and resistance don’t happen overnight. Our goal was to track the long-term evolution of invasion,”

Accolades and Awards:
Dr Merajver has been inducted in the American Clinical and Climatological Association in 2016, the oldest honorary society in the USA for physicians.
Dr. Merajver received a Sarah Goddard Power Award for outstanding mentorship of scientists.
Dr Joel Yates received the Distinguished Mentor Award from the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, an extremely prestigious honor.
The Merajver group is honored to have received 5 new grants so far in 2017 (Jan-March).

December 2016 - Dr. Evelyn Jiagee completed her PhD program at the University of Michigan. She was also invited to give at talk at the "Olive Branch of Hope" as the keynote speaker. Congratulations, Dr. Jiagee!
September 2016 - Dr. Merajver was featured in a Wall Street Journal article about the Delta event, Breast Cancer One dinner. The evening was co-hosted by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) which used the opportunity to announce a partnership with the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a Los Angeles organization founded by, among others, Quinn Ezralow, Marion Laurie, Rita Wilson, Kelly Chapman Meyer and Jamie Tisch, who were all in attendance.
