Research

We believe that ongoing research and evaluation will help us find new and more effective ways to help children and families affected by the obesity epidemic. Science has a long way to go to fully understand what causes an individual child to gain excess weight, how best to help people change behaviors, and how to prevent the development of many obesity-related illnesses. Therefore, many opportunities exist in our program for families and children to participate in research aimed at improving our understanding of these factors.
