Regionally based medical facilities established
to provide a full range of medical/health care services to military
veterans
All military personnel (active duty, reservists,
and National Guard) who were deployed during Iraqi Freedom are
eligible for 2 years of no cost medical care through
the VA for symptoms felt to be associated with the recent deployment
to the Persian Gulf
Services include:
- Post-deployment
- Assessment Clinics
- Mental health services such as:
- PTSD assessment and intervention
- Readjustment and/or marital counseling

Vet Centers
Community-based centers developed by the V.A.
which offer a broad range of readjustment services
Services include:
- Main focus is counseling (individual and
group) for military traumas, employment and family problems
- Also provide referral services for V.A.
benefits and medical assistance, and liaisons with community
agencies

Red Cross
National organization providing a range
of emergency and disaster relief services. Community-based sites
have a variety of special programs for:
- military personnel (active duty, reservists,
and National Guard) and
- their families
