Dr. Anderson is an Associate Professor and Director of Photo Medicine for the Department of Dermatology at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is the former Medical Director of the Dermatology Day Treatment Center and Phototherapy Service located at our Domino's Farms facilities and Co-Director of the Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Lymphoma Program. In addition, he formerly served as Chief of the Dermatology Service at the Ann Arbor Veteran's Adminstration Hospital from 1986 to 1993.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree in 1970 and MD in 1974 both from the University of Michigan. Dr. Anderson served an internship in straight pediatrics at Chicago Memorial Hospital part of Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, 1974-75.

Subsequently, he returned to the Department of Dermatology at University of Michigan Medical Center for residency from 1975 to 1978. In May and June of 1976 he undertook a mini fellowship in photobiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Department of Dermatology, Harvard Medical School. Successive appointments at University of Michigan were instructor, (July ,1978 to September, 1979), Assistant Professor (September, 1979 to September, 1983), Associate Professor (September, 1983 to present).

Dr Anderson is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Dermatological Association, American Society For Photobiology, International Pigment Cell Society, International Society for Cutaneous Lymphoma, Photomedicine Society, Society For Investigative Dermatology, Medical Advisory Board for the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation, and past president of the Michigan Dermatological Society.

Dr. Anderson's current clinical and research interests include: geriatric dermatology, photomedicine, phototherapy, and photo immununology, treatment of psoriasis and Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma and clinical pharmacology of a variety of dermatologicial disorders (pediatric and geriatric).

In recognition of his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases, Dr. Anderson has been listed by Best Doctors in America® since 1994.
