Application and Selection Process

We fully participate in the ERAS® application process. Paper application will not be accepted.

We participate in the NRMP MATCH process.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 9, 2017
ACGME Program Requirements
Prior to appointment in the program, residents must have successfully completed a broad-based clinical year (PGY- 1) in an emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, or transitional year program accredited by the ACGME, or in such a program located in Canada and accredited by the RCPSC or CFPC.

Positions Available

  • July 1, 2019 - for qualified applicants who will have completed a one-year internship in the 2018-2019 academic year
  • July 1, 2018 - for qualified applicants who have already completed a one-year internship which meets ACGME requirements.

ERAS Application Must Include

  • USMLE Step 1 score
  • Three letters of recommendation

    • International Medical Graduates - a separate letter of recommendation from a faculty physician of international stature with whom you have worked is required. The letter should attest to your clinical performance and character
  • Deanís letter of reference
  • Medical School transcripts
  • Personal Statement

International Medical Graduates

  • Valid ECFMG certification
  • Eligible for a J-1 Visa sponsored by ECFMG
  • International Medical Graduates - a separate letter of recommendation from a faculty physician of international stature with whom you have worked is required. The letter should attest to your clinical performance and character

Visa Sponsorship

  • Only a J-1 Visa sponsored by ECFMG is accepted

Selection Process

  • Applications are reviewed by a faculty-based committee
