Grant Opportunities

On an annual basis, the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center seeks applications for the CVC Research Award Competition. The Request for Proposals is generally sent in late December or early January for this grant competition with the proposals being due the first Wednesday in February.

McKay - Heart of a Champion Grant Competition:
Five to eight grants have generally been awarded per year ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. This competition is intended to assist new cardiovascular investigators, within any U-M discipline related to cardiovascular disease, to initiate projects that will lead to extramural funding. The PI must have a primary faculty appointment within U-M. The most competitive McKay applicant will be designated as the annual Heart of a Champion award recipient.
